THE FRIENDS OF GANYMEDE CLASSICAL TOUR will not only take you to some of the best known classical cities in the world, Athens,Delphi, Mycenae but will give you unique insight on Greek mythology from a gay perspective, one that was certainly not part of our learning of the myths in school! Zeus and Ganymede, Socrates and Alcibiades, Alexander the Great and Hephaestion. Learn about ancient Greece’s gay gods and heroes with well know Professor and guide Constantinos Sfikas of the National Greek guiding school and VIP guide to a list of Hollywood heavyweights such as Alexander Payne, Oliver Stone, and John Malkovich, to name just a few.
We then will be able to ponder these myths (and other things!) while relaxing and soaking up the sun on the beaches of the iconic Greek island of Mykonos!

Afternoon or early evening gay history walking tour ending in Plaka with a group dinner at a local taverna.
Overnight Athens
Day 2
Tour the Acropolis and the Acropolis museum. Walk through Monastiraki.

Day 3
Day excursion to the temple of Apollo at Delphi.

National Archaeological Museum shopping or Greek cooking lesson or food tour.

Day excursion to the Peloponnese: Nemea, Mycenae, Epidauros.

Ferry to Mykonos

Excursion to island of Delos

Depart for home or extended tours.

TOUR INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:
Private coach for the land program.
Transportation from the ferry dock in Mykonos to the hotel, and back to the ferry dock.
Transportation TO the Super Paradise beach for swimming. Return at your leisure by local bus or taxi.
All hotels including daily breakfast.
